40th Reunion Song Written by: Jackie Geiffert Maye (’65)

This party called for a song,
Because our friends came along
To reunite, Thank you, Fred.

I'd say we look pretty good,
as do our friends from the hood,
None of us look underfed.

We're in alignment, got our batteries charged,
Lived with the shocks and watched the mortgage enlarge,
Applied the brakes as needed or became super-charged,
When you're a Westlake Wildcat, you are always in charge

Would you say you're a success,
or find your life is a mess,
Are you like us, in between?

A castle or mobile home,
A condo, igloo or dome,
in Nome, or say Aberdeen?

Have you discovered what's important today?
Some time to think and work and some time to play.
Good friends and family, some hairs that aren't gray?
Since you're a Westlake Wildcat, you know just what to say.

Since all the world is a stage,
Some act the fool, some the sage,
A dress rehearsal it ain't.

Relationships come and go,
Some fun but some leave you low,
Are you a brute or a saint?

The stage is ready and the costumes are pressed,
The lights are hung, the microphones passed the test.
The cues are in your Pendulum, just guess at the rest,
What you're a Westlake Wildcat, you can climb Everest.

Now most of us multi-task,
Though it's a pain in the ass,
come on admit it it's stresss....ful

Our blood keeps pumping along,
The heart is beating a strong
Tatoo, would you expect something less....

(This melody is the bridge of this song)

We worked and played together as we grew up,
Learned a few things, kissed a few frogs, buttercup,
And here we are again,so let us all raise the cup
To the Wildcats of Westlake High,
The Wildcats from Westlake High,
The Wildcats from Westlake High.
